CareerScope Online System Requirements

Below are the system requirements for CareerScope Online:

Hardware Requirements

Monitor set at 1024x768 resolution
Sound card and speakers or headphones (if utilizing the audio capabilities)
Printer (if you will be printing reported output)
Processor: 2GHz
Memory: 2GB RAM

Bandwidth Requirements

High speed internet connection required: Minimum 3Mbps
Note: Bandwidth requirements vary based upon number of users and amount of activity on the network.

Internet Browsers

CareerScope Online has been tested on several internet browsers including:
Internet Explorer 7 or 8
Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or higher
Apple Safari 3 or higher
Google Chrome 2 or higher

If you do not have one of these browsers installed on your computer, you can download them for free by clicking on the browser name.

Plug-ins

Adobe Flash – this plug-in must be installed on any computer that will be used to access the CareerScope Online Assessment. If you do not have Adobe Flash installed on your computer, you can download it for free. To download, copy the following link into your internet browser and download Flash.
Adobe Reader – this must be installed to open the Resources available to Managers from within the Management system. If you do not have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, you can download it for free. To download, copy the appropriate link into your internet browser and download Reader.

Firewalls and Internet Security Systems

Many major organizations may have network security that includes firewalls and/or Internet Security systems. These systems may prohibit access to the CareerScope Online portals unless the url(s) are added to a list of “permitted” urls. The CareerScope Management System and Assessment Portal urls may need to be added to the permitted list. Additionally, CareerScope Online requires uninterrupted access to network port 443 (HTTPS).
